The Sirius Black Conspiracy

This claim could very well be a ploy to induce the Ministry of Magic to announce Sirius Black innocent on behalf of Potter: Peter Pettigrew is still alive.

If Potter knew his Godfather well enough to want to revenge his death, Potter must have been in contact with the escaped criminal, innocent or not. Was Potter involved in Black's escape from Azkaban? This single question brings up many more besides.

After weeks of research, we have been able to uncover many facts on the Black family. As it turns out, most wizards and witches from that line, for a few generations back, have been dark wizards, and those who have not have seemingly been cut off from the family. Narcissa Malfoy, a Black by birth and wife to a known Death Eater, would have been heir to the Black fortune if Potter was not named so by his godfather. The Malfoy family did gain some riches when the mother to Sirius Black died, her being the only favored relative.

So, is Black a murderer? If Pettigrew is still alive, was it Pettigrew who murdered those people? As we have no proof that Pettigrew is still alive, we can only assume that this is merely a rumor.

On to Potter, now. With evidence of him having a hit list (see "Harry Potter - Keeping a List?" in the fourth edition of the Daily Prophet), and the rumors of him being close to Black, could Potter also be a Dark Wizard? Are we placing our hope in the wrong person?

Another question that appears: how did Black escape from Azkaban? The fact that he did proves he is dangerous, but the chances that he broke free himself are very unlikely. Therefore, he must have had help. But who would have the power to do so, while having allegiance to the criminal? With most of Black's relatives dead, and all known friends of his supporters of the light, our list is very narrow.

Lady of the Malfoy house, Narcissa Malfoy, is our first suspect. Being the cousin of the escape convict accused of supporting He Who Must Not Be Named and wife to a known Death Eater, she would have had the family link and contacts to help him.

Publicly known werewolf, Remus Lupin, is our second suspect. Being a werewolf, a Dark Creature, and friend to Black since Hogwarts, he might be capable of doing so. Although we don't know for sure, it is theorized that werewolves are not affected by the Dementors, who used to guard Azkaban, as humans are. This also makes it a possibility that Black is a werewolf.

Our third suspect is one in which we are the most positive of. Harry Potter, godson to the infamous Sirius Black and Boy Who Lived, would have the personal ties, the political power, and the motive to do so.

If it was Potter who helped, what would be the reason? Were they planning something dangerous? Or was it just so they could get to know each other better? Although all questions here are still unanswered, we hope that someday they will be because knowing might help us better understand and fight this evil that we are currently facing. It might be a matter between a free life and a life plunged in darkness.
